In collaboration with IVN Mark en Donge from Breda, we provide tours for visitors at three times: 10:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM.
Advance registration for a tour is required and can be done via the website. www.heemtuinrucphen.nl or that of IVN Mark and Donge.
Admission is €3. Children up to and including 12 years of age may visit the garden free of charge when accompanied.
At the end of June, the Heemtuin (nature garden) in Rucphen is in full bloom. The fields are brightly coloured by the arable flowers, such as poppies, cornflowers, blue mallows and yellow marigolds.
Water lilies, yellow pond-lily and bog strawberry bloom in the pools and the fen. From the boardwalks you can see frogs croaking and dragonflies flying past.
On the heath and at the Sijpeltjes, the orchids are blooming, and the chalk grassland is also a colourful sea of flowers.
Throughout the garden, there are benches and seating areas from which to enjoy the garden.
The IVN has a large stall where you can discover all sorts of facts.
In Ut Gebouwke, various artists present their artistic products and you can find information about herbs.
The terrace is also open and here you can order coffee, tea, soft drinks or an organic juice.
There's also plenty for children to enjoy. In addition to the nature garden, they can also visit the adventure forest, which features a barefoot path, among other things.
The De Heemtuin is open during the summer months every weekday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and every Sunday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
