Heritage Open Day on 12 September: discover resilient heritage in the municipality of Rucphen
On Saturday 12 September, it is the annual Heritage Open Days. Everyone is welcome to take a free look behind doors that are normally closed. Visitors are given the opportunity to hear more about the history of special historic buildings in the municipality of Rucphen.
This year's theme is ‘Resilient heritage in times of uncertainty’.
In these uncertain times, we are also discovering the ‘resilience’ of our historic buildings. We can observe that monuments often possess impressive resilience. Our historic buildings have stood the test of time and tell a story of preservation, renewal and involvement. Fine examples of ‘resilient heritage’ can also be found in the municipality of Rucphen.
Up www.inroosendaal.nl/monumentendag you will find all information about the participating monuments, special locations, routes and the full programme.
On Saturday 12 September, the following locations are open in the municipality of Rucphen:
Address: Molenerf 2, Sprundel
Address: Onze Lieve Vrouwestraat 108, Zegge
The municipality of Roosendaal and the municipality of Rucphen are once again cooperating during Heritage Open Days. The official opening will take place on Saturday 12 September at 10:00 in the Saint John's Church in Roosendaal.
At 2 o'clock is the official moment in Rucphen at De Heimolen. There, the first copy of the book ‘Rucphen Then and Now. Five church villages in word and image’ presented to Mayor Van der Meer Mohr. The Rucphen Then and Now Foundation compiled this publication in close collaboration with the other local history circles in the municipality of Rucphen.
Be surprised by the diversity of the resilient historical heritage in our municipality.
You are very welcome!
