St. Willibrord's Church

Details

The Sint-Willibrordus Church is not only a striking building in St. Willebrord, but also a place with a special story. The current church was built in the 1920s in Neo-Gothic style. Large windows, an impressive nave and a stately appearance make the church a notable monument in the village. Surrounding the church is a procession park that surprises visitors. Here you will find statues depicting various biblical scenes, such as the crucifixion and a Pietà. The most remarkable is the Lourdes Grotto, built to resemble the grotto in France. For over a hundred years, people have been coming to this place to pray and find peace. This makes the Sint-Willibrordus Church a vibrant pilgrimage site and valuable heritage of the community.
